•Fightlady screens at New Filmmakers NY 9/13/17 in the 9:15PM block.  Anthology Film Archives Lower East Side at 32 Second Avenue & 2nd Street Tickets on sale at the Anthology box office the night of the screening $7 good for the entire evening.  Hope to see you there!

Skyline Indie Film Festival - Little Bird screening 9/10 at Bright Box Theatre in Winchester, VA 10AM block.

•FIGHTLADY has been accepted to the Capital City Black Film Festival in Austin, TX Screening on August 27th! in the morning slot.  9-12:30 we’ll update with exact timing soon as we have it.

•Support the Anacostia Delta film by contributing through the Indiegogo Campaign!

•We’re working on a new doc!  A Barnstorming Productions film, ANACOSTIA DELTA, is a documentary celebrating the musical world of Danny Gatton.  Mathieu will be the Director of Photography and NCI will provide production support.  Check out the info. on the doc here ANACOSTIA DELTA and get your tickets for the concert celebrating Danny Gatton on Sept. 26th here The Birchmere

•We had a great weekend at The Film Festival at Little Washington.  All went off without a hitch.  The 4-H workshop on Sat. was amazing!  All of the kids seemed to enjoy themselves and had a wonderful time creating 1-2min videos about the festival.  Thank you to Stephanie Slewka, our co-conspirator and to 4-H & MBS our sponsors and David Frey for helping us out with the workshop.  Check out the kid’s vids on RappNews at the link below.  The Pop-up venue was also a big hit and a great way to get up close to the filmmakers in an informal setting.  Thank you to everyone who helped out.

•Just back from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade in Baltimore.  It was great.  Big highlight was seeing Franchon Crews with the Umar Boxing Club kids and coaches.  What a great organization.  Congratulations Marvin McDowell and the rest of his great staff.  Also, a big congratulations to Franchon!

•Chasing Dance doc is in the final stretch.

•Extremely excited for Chase Brock and his new adventure as the choreographer for Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark.  Congratulations Chase!  You truly deserve this.  Have an awesome run!

•Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

In observance of Thanksgiving we will be closed on Wednesday.  We will re-open on Monday, November 29th.

•Education For All Fast Track Initiative.  NCI is contracted to produce introductory video for the UN  High-Level Plenary Meeting on MDGs slated for September 2010.  Shot on location in Maputo, Mozambique.  Video in post production.

•Mathieu is in Hiroshima finishing up a 3 year documentary for Bryan Reichhardt of Boru TV.  Another moving trip.  Hiroshima survivors will view their drawings made to a DC congregation in thanks for school supplies that were sent to them after the bomb was dropped that decimated their school and surrounding areas 65 years ago.  The drawings will be put on permanent display in the museum of the new school.

•North Haven was beautiful.  The Chase Brock Experience gave a wonderful weekend of performances, premiering Whoa, Nellie! and highlighting past pieces for Ashley Eichbauer’s farewell performance.

•On our way to North Haven, Maine to see CBE perform Whoa, Nellie!

•The Summer Edition:  A CHASE BROCK EXPERIENCE DOUBLE FEATURE at the Connelly Theatre in NY was great.  Featuring Mirror Mirror composed by Michael John LaChiusa and Whoa, Nellie! danced to the hit album “Obligatory Villagers” by Nellie McKay.

•Excited about the launch of the new Dance video game Dance On Broadway.  Choreographed by Chase Brock using the dancers of The Chase Brock Experience.  NCI was hired to film the behind the scenes for a “Making Of” Promo for the North America and European markets.  Check it out on YouTube   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4-JFOJxvVw

•Emmy night was excellent.  Lots of moving tributes and emotional speeches.  And we are thrilled and honored to be one of the recipients.

•After filming in Louisiana twice there seems to be no end in site to the oil rig leak.  On Mathieu’s second trip for ARD the main focus was local impact and the devastation the leak has had on wildlife and professions that count on the water’s bounty to make a living.

•Mathieu is on his way to New Orleans to cover the Gulf oil rig leak for ARD German Television.

•After more than a week of shooting on the Playa at Burning Man we are on our way back.  There were plenty of sand storms to shoot in on a daily basis and many beautiful shots of artwork and colorful people were taken.  I’ll upload stills of the shoot over the next few days.
